Love reflected in love

A letter from a staff member

November 2014

Working with CherishAbility blesses us all so much. I feel filled with love, after dancing with Margie, singing with James, laughing with Liz, and watching Art climb for the first time while wearing his cowboy hat with such pride.

This week felt like Christmas. Yes, it was a week full of Christmas-love. I felt wrapped up in the sort of love that melts any personal ego, that wraps up the world in kindness and that fills the heart with hope.

I think each one of us on the 100 Elk staff learned something about joy; how natural it is be joyful when Art smiles. I learned something about tenderness. It was so easy to respond to each of James’ questions with tenderness.

I also learned something about love. How nourishing it is to love and be loved, to celebrate life together!
